Where can a custom frameless shower screen be installed?
Our custom frameless shower screens can be installed onto any solid base, whether it be a shower tray, a tiled floor or even granite and marble floors.
Should I plan for my shower screen before I build or renovate my bathroom?
Yes, you should plan your shower screen before you build or renovate your bathroom to achieve the very best possible look and practicality for your shower screen. However, through our expertise and substantial knowledge we have fitted quite literally thousands of frameless shower screens over the years and we are very proud to say that there has never been a situation we couldn't find a solution.
Are frameless shower screens fully waterfproof?
Frameless shower screens are fully water tight, if installed correctly. This is yet another reason why we only offer a full measure and installation service. To tightly seal a frameless shower screen takes full knowledge of frameless systems, which we have 15 years of, longer than any other leading frameless shower screen company in the U.K.
*Please note that this is only the case providing the shower tray/base of the shower has a sufficient fall towards the shower waste, and not sloping away from it and towards the door.
How long does it take to have my frameless shower screen installed?
It is usually within a few days that we can come to site to measure, then no more than 2 weeks to the date of installation. Generally it takes anywhere between 2-4 hours to install the screens.
Can I cut safety glass once it has been manufactured?
No, you cannot cut safety glass. Once float (normal) glass has gone through the toughening process it is set. You cannot cut or drill the glass panel without breaking it.
Which is better the Support Bar or the Corner Bracing Shelf?
This depends on whether safety or style is your number priority. For safety purposes we recommend the Support Bar, whereas if you are looking for style many will choose a Corner Bracing Shelf. The Support Bar offers more stability than the Corner Bracing Shelf. The Support Bar is designed for people who are greatly concerned about safety, its design is suitable for families with younger children who are not aware of the risk factors when playing around glass. Alternatively, the Corner Bracing Shelf complements well with the frameless shower screen and gives extra storage space to place your shampoos and conditioners.
Do I need to use a Support Bar or a Corner Bracing Shelf?
It depends on the model shower screen. Some shower screens has the door hinged off the wall, it is not necessary to use a Support Bar or a Corner Bracing Shelf. Other models have a door hinged off another fixed panel of glass, with these models we highly recommend you do choose a Support Bar System or the Corner Bracing Shelf should the hinge panel be more than 300mm in width.
